It was worth a try and it seemed reasonable.

Thx for this and the copy below as well. I have been digging a little
bit in the documentation from Chris plus some other stuff I found and
not I know a little bit more.
The "Refreshrate=0" means the render will use the default refresh rate.
In my case that means 100 Hz in 1600*1200 and 75 Hz in 2048*1536, but
I'm not exactly sure what makes thoose refresh rates default. Also you
can set it at the rate you desire but you may not get it!
Based on some settings posted in a forum for the D3D8drv render I have
been able to guess the VSync thing is actually controlled by this setting:
SwapInterval=1
Where 1 means VSync on and 0 means off. However on my system it seems
the setting is just ignored. And that goes for both DirectX and OpenGL.
I shall experiment some more and also try and put together an optimal
settings list. Maybe it will only work with ATI but time will tell. In
this very moment the performance is some 20-30% better in OpenGL on my
system (P4 2.5 Ghz, X1900XTX) - that may be due to the render or maybe
ATI's current drivers are actually better in OpenGL for more simple
graphics like UT. I know they made some great improvements not long ago.
Kind regards
Bruno
