Yep! I had one bad experience in the past. But nothing recent. One
controller used a three letter abbreviation he issued to me and it was one
with which I was not familiar. I asked what that abbreviation meant, to
which he responded, "Don't have time for pilot training". Then he
completely ignored my plane. He sounded like he was having a bad experience
and I think I just got in the way of one of his barbs. Within 10 minutes of
that comment, he hastily signed off, "Atlanta Center is closing
immediately". Might be that one of the supervisors monitoring, chastised
him for his response with a private chat. I do longer see his name listed
on the Atlanta ARTCC website. I think he was taking it a little too
seriously. If you hobby get to be like work, time to switch hobbies. My
experience occurred likely 10-12 months ago.
I DO NOT agree that there is a rude or too rigid controller problem at
Atlanta currently.
