OK
.. I I need a better video card. At least that what Im being told. I m
trying to play Doom . My video is pretty jerky and the entire game is
darker that I can manage. Not fun..

Im currently running an ATI Radeon 9200 (128mb). I got it pretty cheap
and
I guess Im getting what I paid for.

Can anyone suggest a decent card (AGP) thats not gonna cost me an arm and
a
leg. Im sure I can spend as much as I want, but Im trying for most bang
for
the buck.

I need brightness nd smooth video.
thanx a bunch...

I'd suggest an Nvidia 6800GT card, or a 7800GTX if you can afford it.

We really don't care, and don't need to see this SPAM in all of your posts...

The game is dark, and was meant to be. But a lot of people had problems
with it being just TOO dark to even play. So for the brightness stuff,
have a look at those UC Doom3 guides I posted the link to. They have tweaks
for the overall brightness worked out and some explanations.
Video card. I suggest at least a Radeon 9800 Pro 128 meg, but not the AIW
9800 Pro. Or for Nvidia, a FX5900. These are the top of the DX9 cards at
the time Doom3 was released. For newer cards, a Radeon X800 or Nvidia 6800
would be a good starting level.
Most bang for the buck currently IMO would be an X850XT or 6800GT, for AGP.
