Very good MM. Nice landing!!
I've made a few landings like this on small roads. It's a hoot. It's the
takeoff that gets expensive when you kick all those little stones up and
ding the prop and the underbelly of the airplane.
Damage on one occasion was a couple of grand. Simming is a WHOLE lot
cheaper I think )))

Yeah, Don. I was too.
I'm finding it is a great idea to transition every so often from them
thar big modern button pushin' 2 and 4 engined gizmos we like and
actually FLY an airplane that needs actual stick and rudder technique.

I once saw somebody do that with his car. Unlike 1941 (which was, of
course, more than 50 years earlier than when I saw it) there was no
spillage. The hose just broke at the joint which is put in the hose
just for such an emergency.
