Post subject: Vertically Challenged Toons, Rolling Terrain and Mobs Do Not Mix Well

Two times I learned this the hard way with my priestess a dwarf.

Twice.

My first realization that "short" toons have a different perspective of
things came when a friend pulled a Hallow's End trivck on my human
warrior and it turned him inot a gnome.

Damn it was hard to see what was going on in front of him when other
toons and beast were in front of him. I turned off that trick once hte
battles started to get difficult.

So the other day my priestess is solo and smites what appeared to be a
humanoid foe far enough away from its allies, a Gnoll in Westfall.

Ended up with three running her over. Her shield and heals and etc.
etc. did me no good; I need more experience or maybe more skills.

Okay that was not rolling terrain. And that made me be more cautious
thereafter.

But Saturday it happened again with some Owl Kins in Darkshore and I
thoguht I had them pegged as being far enough apart to Smite the
closest one.

But no, next thing I knew I had three crazy Moonkins bearing down on
me. I jsut can't handle three right now. Still learning andthere is a
big difference between her and a warrior. If it happens again I'm just
gonna hit "fade" and run like hell.

The thing that I did nto pay heed to was the rollign terrain. That
coupled with the shortness of height made it appear better than it was.

With that said now I have to play it even safer.

But she did pass a major test teamed up with a Druid and killing
Murkdeep.

The right heals at the right time, the right damage spells at the right
time and the two of us survived and I was a happy camper.

Priests is cool. I look forward to the day when toons are begging my
priest to join in an instance run.

Is it ok to start/play toons in areas other then where you.. - Would there be any problems leveling your character in areas other than where you were born? My Troll Hunt's lvl 40 now and 2 nights ago I was trying to clean up the remaining Desolace quests since I have my mount and thus, cut the walking time between areas. I got sent to....
