Vectrex: 2 Tech questions...

Hi, I'm new when it comes to collecting classic games. Already I am highly addicted and obsessed with having as close to mint items as I can possibly afford. Recently I picked up a Vectrex of eBay and I have two questions/concerns. Off this forum I was able to correct the "off-centeredness" of it so I was hoping some other intelligent gamers could help me...

(1) The flickering--it's not so noticeable in the center of the screen. I just see it mainly around the remaining men (bottom right) corner of Minestorm. Is a Vectrex supposed to have solid stable lines, or is this flickering (although mild) normal?

(2) (Now this is a real anal question here) When the "bad" ship deposits the mines before each wave the top flat line of the ship is actually two lines broken in the middle of the ship. However on a PC emulator, it's a perfect straight line across the top. Is that normal? Again with so few Vectrexes out there it's hard to compare. It looks like it is normal compared to what I have seen on YouTube. Can someone verify? Is my V/H-hold / sizing still off?
