Ultima novels - Looking through books on my I came across the 3 part trilogy of Ultima novels. I got these years ago and never read them. Looking them up at Amazon, I see they are out of print. I don't see any other books listed outside the..

Ultima 7 Britain - I am trying to find Gaye's Clothier shoppe, can any one give me some Thank you.

Ripping Ultima music - So what's the popular way of ripping Ultima music? How were those MIDIs found in various places over the years made? Did someone sit at a MIDI keyboard and perform them all from memory? Or did someone manage to capture the output to the sound card while..

Commodore discs names - I dl'ed a C64 emulator and one of the games I want to play again is Ultima V. My discs are buried in storage could someone tell me what the original disc names are so I can get things right when I swap them?

rotworm stew - Does anyone remember making this stuff in I? I'm having a problem because I'm supposed to put a dead rotworm into the bowl. But after I kill it the critter turns into a green blood stain before I can pick it up, and I can't pick up blood..

In all of the previous Ultimas you could collect armor and weapons and
whatnot off people and creatures defeated in combat and it was a great
way to accumulate money. You don't seem to be able to do that in
Ultima VII.

Am I missing a way to sell stuff? If not, that's a bummer!

You can sell gems to Sean the jeweller in Britain, and gold bars and
nuggets in the mint. There are also the odd quest sort of thing where
someone will mention that they will buy a specific sort of item if you
bring them in to sell. Otherwise you're correct - you can't sell most
things in U7.

Thanks Paulon and JP for the replies.

JP I went to Buccaneer's den but I'm not a fellowship member yet -
however I did amass a small fortune by cheating - saving the game
before playing and re-loading if I lose Smile. Is there a surprise
waiting for me if I go back after becoming a Fellowship member? Don't
spoil too much for me, this is my first time playing it - just a yes
or no please Smile.


It also seems, again unless I'm missing something, that the Avatar is
the only one who can cast spells! I know Jaana will cast heal, cure
or ressurect for you, but is the Avatar the only one who can cast
spells, for example, in combat? If so, another big bummer! The
Avatar has a spell book but I didn't find anyone else who sells
spellbooks or anywhere else to find them. Again, I'm not very far
along in the game - I've been to Trinsic, Britain, Cove and Minoc. I
haven't gone to Destard to try to sneak by the dragons and get the
chest yet.

Yes, there is small advantage at the casino if you become a Fellowship member.

A real quick way to win at Buccaneer's Den is to play the Rat Race. If your rat
isn't going to win, click the start line to restart the race. Keep doing that
until he wins. You can amass a fortune in a short time. I had the grass outside
the casino covered with piles of gold coins, although that did cause some
problems with the graphics display. <G>

It affects how some people will consider you. Some will just refuse to talk,
and run away from a "dirty Fellowshipper".

It is not a membership, but a _medallion wearing_ which affects the people.
A good idea is to wear the medallion when you talk to Fellowship people, and
do not wear it when you talk to any other people.

Yes.

You can only fill the spell slots in the spellbook by buying them from the
mage.

I can't remember now and I'm not in a position to try it, but does stealing
someone else's medallion work for the casino? I know that certain higher-up
members of the Fellowship see through it (Batlin for instance), but I can't
remember if it works for the Den or not.

I'm getting into the game but I'm concerned about one thing - I seem
to have "lost" Elizabeth and Abraham. I think their trail is Trinsic,
Britain, Minoc, Paws, Jhelom, Moonglow, Terfin, and then either
Serpent's Hold or Buccaneer's Den (Vesper was in there somewhere I
think). My concern is that nobody is telling me where they went next,
and they're not even appearing as an option when conversing with
Rankin in Moonglow or Quan in Terfin or Austin in Vesper. They are a
conversation option with Feridwyn in Yew but he just says he hasn't
seen them in days, same with Elynor in Minoc.

I just finished exploring Terfin - I haven't been to Serpent's Hold or
Buccaneer's Den yet.

Please try to avoid spoiling too much for me, I'm just worried that
I'm going to get too far and then have to start over Smile.

You're doing fine. Following Abraham and Elizabeth is optional, although it
provides a safe way to tour Britain while building up your characters.

You will meet them in the final scene of the game only. Chasing them is
useless. Just do the plot.

And if you're stuck with no clue about where to go next, asking about
them can sometimes point you in the right direction. Although when
they're in Buccaneer's Den, and you don't have a ship, it can be
confusing. Pick up another plot line and follow it for a while, or
track down a dungeon. Did you find the magic chest south of Trinsic?
Even though you can't sell much except gold, jewels, and serpent
venom, I was literally *dumping* piles of stuff everywhere before I
was done. Oh, wait. I might also have been using the "create food"
cheat. Smile

Thanks again for all the replies everyone - as another poster said,
it's good that there are still forums like these that are alive and
kicking! Long live Ultima!

I've gotten the Emps to give me the whistle and have spoken with the
Wisp. I'm in Skara Brae right now trying to figure out how to get rid
of the liche.

Grrrrrr

I picked up 3 potions in Mordra's house and an empty flask on the
table next to the alchemy equipment.

Now how do I get the potions "in" the equipment, how do I get the
empty flask off to the side, and how I do I light the fire????

I've tried just dragging them on there but then the 3 flasks just kind
of "sit there". I tried double-clicking the potion and then the
equipment and my NPCs say "Don't waste those - they're expensive!!!"

I hate these pixelhunt clicking puzzles - what the bleep do I do
here????
