Hi all

I'm something of a newbie so I hope this question isn't too badly
received.

I've been playing with FS2004 and very pleased with it. I run it on
an XP P4-3GHz machine with 1Gb RAM and 256Mb of Dualhead graphics.
Works very well. The odd crash out to the desktop but all in all I'm
happy.

I now want to upgrade to FSX Deluxe and have a Vista machine to put it
on. I know about the one license per machine "feature" but I need to
know if the machine I have in mind is powerful enough. It's running
Vista with 2Gb RAM and the CPU is Intel Quad Core 750. As yet, it's
running off an onboard graphics controller - because I've not bought a
proper PCI-E card yet.

I'm happy to buy a good card (can't fit the old one from the XP box as
it's AGP), but I want the Vista machine to run FSX Deluxe as well as
the XP machine runs FS2004. Is this possible with the hardware I've
described bearing in mind it's now Vista?

Can someone give me a link to a realistic set of requirements to run
FSX Deluxe on a Vista machine?

Cheers
Sun

You'll probably have more luck in alt.games.microsoft.flight-sim

We're a bloodthirsty lot round here, and tend to prefer the sims that
make pretty bangs rather than chartered flights from Seattle to New York.

Put in one of the new Nvidia 8800GT 512mb cards and you should be good
to go. FSX is quite demanding on hardware though so don't expect really
good frame rates.
