Archived from groups: alt>games>the-sims (more info?)

I've never (in Sims 2) had the social worker come to take my Sim-children,
but I want them to take the children (babies) of this particular family. I
made this family just to get little green babies into the adoption pool.

I put the babies on the front lawn behind a fence so that the family
couldn't get to them and waited. The babies pictures went yellow, then
orange and finally red. I got one message about feeding the boy because he
was all skin and bones, but the social worker isn't coming.

I have looked for a social worker mod in my downloads folder but cannot find
one.

My question is - did I not wait long enough for the social worker (I
_really_ didn't like hearing those screaming babies) and/or is there some
other way to get these children into the adoption pool?

You might try aging one of the parents back into a kid. They will probably
then have bad grades (since adults don't have grades) and then the social
worker will come and take away all the children. (I think. That's the only
time I've see the SW come)

Assuming you don't have some hack you can't find the other route would be to
move someone who is about to die in with the parents of the green babies and
then move the parents out so the children are left in the care of the
geezer. When the old sim croaks the social worker should come and if she
doesn't then something is wrong.

Spawn a Servo, move the parents out, then turn the servo off. I
accidentally discovered how quickly the SW appears when I got two servos to
get married, move out on their own, then adopt. As soon as the kids were in
bed, I got one servo to power-off the other, then told the *awake* one to
"go to sleep." As soon as the second servo went to sleep, the buy and build
modes disabled, and the biatch was hauling the kids out. Thank goodness I
forgot to save.

All the above and check you don't have Inge Jones' no social worker hack. I
use that when I'm breeding delinquents.

I think the abandoning the kids or the low grades is the easiest to achieve.
Starving them is a bit traumatic.

Best wishes
