I always thought the same thing, selling back the quest reward to the
quest giver/returner. Cute comic, one of the few WoW comics I've liked.

I think it was DLC that also had a comic a while back where they DE'd
the quest reward right in front of the quest giver.
I already have Loremaster of Outland, but EK and Kalimdor would
require some significant work in order to get those as well. It may
be a while before I ever get around to doing those. >> Stay informed about: Unused quest rewards |

And yet I never had a problem doing it with Charsi and Anya after they
imbued/gave me their typical garbage. +1 to Light Radius? WTH?
As for WoW, this is exactly why my bank is completely full. I still
have my Band of the Great Tortoise from Tooga's Quest, for example. I
mean, that poor turtle was lost and thirsty in the desert! How many
times does one escort a turtle? How can I possibly sell that ring?
Or how about my Starcaller's Plated Stompers? I saved a Protectorate
Vanguard soldier from certain death! I mean, did you really take a
look at him? He had no weapons to fight with! And despite this, he
helped during the escort with every single fight! Magnificent valor!
He told his commander that this "fleshling" rescued him! He had
important information, stuff that could turn the tide of battle! I
can't just sell these boots! They're a memento!
*sigh*

Not to sound like an idiot, but did you know there is a low-level
quest marker in the drop-down menu that lists Find Fish, Track Herbs,
etc.?
I did not. At least, until last week when I went to change what it
tracked and noticed this option at the very bottom.
I really, really wish I had known this when I was going for the
Ambassador title and my way of finding quests was to run around and
around and around towns and major cities and mouse over any NPC I saw
to see if my cursor changed to an exclamation mark.
Sometimes I turn it on when flying somewhere (since some quests are
really way out there) and if I ever see a yellow mark I try to note
its location so I can go there and see what that quest's about.

I think I have over 300 quests to do in Kalimdor for the Loremaster,
so thats going to be rough.
On the plus side, when I leveled my warlock, I completely skipped over
zones like Stonetalon and Desolace, so I always have those to fall
back on. And lots of dungeon quests, as I didn't care about dungeons
as I leveled. So I know the quests are there for me to do, its just a
matter of getting around to doing them. >> Stay informed about: Unused quest rewards |

Exactly. I always thought a vendor hiding in the bushs near those
Consortium guys in Nagrand (the ones who give away the free gems every
month)...would absolutly clean up. >> Stay informed about: Unused quest rewards |

I'd never been the Uldaman before, and there's another thing I sure
wish I had know before my map/directionally-challenged self spent four
hours getting lost in the twist of mazes in an attempt for the
achievement.
Finally resorted to alt-tabbing out of the game, checking an online
map, going back to the game, moving the distance of a screen, alt-
tabbing out of the game, checking an online map . . .
I am so, so hopeless with caves and twists and turns in this game that
by about the third or fourth hour I was ready to scream (don't even
ask me about Maraudon or especially Gnomeregan, both of which I'd
never been to either), then when I clicked on a stone and nothing
happened, to go online and realize the requirements for summoning the
boss you need to defeat for the achievement . . .
The upside is: fun as heck to solo instances as a Prot Paladin. Run,
Consecrate. Run, Consecrate. Spend 30 minutes looting bodies. Wish
desperately for a "Mass Loot" option.

I suspect that one of the reasons for these achievements is to give
players a reason to do quests in zones that they would otherwise have
skipped. I had skipped dungeons as I'm more of a solo player and when
I do get quests that end up in dungeons, they end up turning green or
even gray before I get around to doing them. At that point, any
possible rewards you could get would probably be worth less than what
you're already carrying. >> Stay informed about: Unused quest rewards |

Yep, I was eagerly awaiting that addition, it was a nightmare finding
quests for rep before that! Still took ages to get the Loremaster
acheivement though, as quite a few quests start from drops etc and
generally aren't very obvious. It was fun finding a load I'd never done
before though

Yeah I had this achievement too but I checked to make sure there wasn't
anything weird I needed to do (after having gone through Scholomance by
myself and discovering that the final boss only appears after you kill four
other bosses!).

Cartographer comes with instance maps which have boss locations on them.
Very helpful, although the maps are static so they don't show your position. >> Stay informed about: Unused quest rewards |

Hehe I'm the same in maze instances, spent about 2 hours in Sunken
Temple last night and had to keep going back to do stuff to open bosses
up, sigh. Worst thing being those packs are very hard on the mana; as a
holy priest I can kill ok, but really need spirit tap available if I'm
going to use 75% of my mana holy novaing...

I had Outland and Eastern Kingdom Loremaster complete when the patch was
installed but was missing about 160 quests in Kalimdor which I had liberally
skipped on my main. I had already gone back and done the two Draenai
starting zones, Teldrassil and Darkshore to max my alliance faction rep.
Since the patch I have gone back and done all the remaining Ashenvale
quests, all quests I could find in Stonetalon (not that many, for alliance,
I'd say about 10-15) and those out of Ratched I had not yet done.
I know I have quite a few left to do in Feralas and Shimmering flats but
only a few in Desolace. I will probably have to take up the Linken series
where I left them off (if I can find the point, I guess a trip to Feralas or
Donova Snowden is in order). I have pretty much done everything in Tanaris,
Ungoro, Silithus, Winterspring as far as I can recall.
I guess it will be ->Shimmering Flats->Feralas->Azshara (might have a few
open) and then travel the continent if I that doesn't give me 115 quests.
On the plus side, I have already fulfilled the Loremaster in the East and
still find many low level quests, so there seems to be a certain overhead
there and I hope the same is true for Kalimdor. In the outlands, the
overhead seems to be much smaller, my Mage has just finished every quest in
HFP she can do at 64 except for the PvP quest (leaving a handful of level 70
quests) and she needed every one of them to get the HFP quest achievment of
80 quests...
Cheers
