| Is it my imagination or does anyone else feel that when you play Uni it
is hectic? When I'm at the dorms with a group it seems like I am just
going from one to the enxt amking sure they are all taken care of and
that they are accumulating points, writing papers, etc. It is
exhausitng! And yet they have the gall to have fun! I feel like I'm
doing all the work! And it takes so long to get them ahead!

Yes, that's why I have a mod now to get them out quickly. When Uni first
came out & I played it, I felt just like you and I was doing all the work
and having no fun! LOL

It's your imagination. There's plenty of time for doing other things
each semester (the better part of a day and a half, assuming you already
have your skills or are content with getting just what you need for your
major) - 2 classes, 3 assignments, a term paper and perhaps a couple of
hours of group research to get that 4.0 leaves lots of time for fun.

Maybe the OP is playing with too many people in the dorm. It is
definitely more hectic keeping track of a large number of people/
students. Also, if your sims start in university--so that you have to
train up their skills and THEN do term papers, etc.--it is much more
hectic than if you move in sims from families (where they already have
most or even all of the skills they will need to graduate, have plenty
of scholarhip money, etc.).
On days when I am tired, I play small households as they are easier.
If life at uni is too hectic, try running just one or two students
(either in a small dorm or in a house). >> Stay informed about: University |

In mine, if they go to all classes and just do the term paper, they will
pass with an A. I wish Pescado would make that harder Uni grades hack he
promised.

That's it then...all of mine entered with no skills at all..and I have 5
in one and 6 in another but the 5 are in a dorm that had a lot more
rooms and the "others" moved in, which I ignore, but they sure do get in
the way..and the cook down in the cafetria is an emotional slob and
weeps all over the place (she's an NPC...and I am NOT going to make her
playable just to make her happy!)... >> Stay informed about: University |

Maybe - but even so I regularly play with 6-8 students and many of my
characters enter Little Carping via University. It's a matter of
organisation - for me anyway.
Best wishes

I'm just finding them to be very labor intensive...they do seem to elarn
much faster than in the regular game, though...skill points that is...I
sent several already to get re-clothed...that's part of it, I think..the
necessity to make them look better..I deciede the girls should be
uniformed (I think maybe the guys will be too...those band uniforms look
appropriate) so they're all wearing this long navy blue affair...makes
life simpler when they're just running around..half of them opt for
underwear around the dorm anyway (I decided to just let that go...I
can't change everything...) If they bring all this stuff into Dragonwold
when they graduate I'll just change it then. I was a real drone in IRL
college...sent to school, went to work, and studied...BORING....took
part in 2 political demonstrations...I think I prolly missed out on some
of the more "basic" education college provides! Oh well...that's what I
get for going to a religious institution! >> Stay informed about: University |

I don't like too many students at a time. 4 maximum. If they go together
they never used to finish together because I take them out 1 or 2 at a time,
so overlapping is better. It isn't too difficult to get the basic skills,
and a good grade, but I much prefer the born in the game kids who arrive
with the skills they need, do their term paper, an assignment, and a class,
and then go off out to make friends, find lovers, earn money or whatever.

I don't find it hectic. My Sim's typically meditate for more than half of
each term so there is plenty of time for everything they need to get done to
graduate with an A plus average. I do find it incredibly boring though.

I put 8 Sims through at a time because I hate Univeristy and find it a chore
that I just have to get through. There is plenty of time although Sims that
didn't grow up in a Sim family do have more to do.

For those sims I consider it a necessary chore - I cheat. Not completely, I
don't tend to create young adults, so they have usually been at least a teen
for a while and have some skills. Then it's do the necessary and bring
forward the final exam each semester. Otherwise I create the adult and
cheat the degree, if that's what I want for them.

Lots of people aren't organised when they go to university - that's partly
why they get bad grades!
