Quite a while ago, I built a replica sims 1 neighborhood using a design that
someone had made from SimCity4 of the original Sims1 land. Somewhere along
the line I seem to have lost that design and am no longer able to load the
neighborhood I created. (At least I am assuming that is causing the loading
problem. ) Does anybody remember where that layout came from or have
another solution for retrieving that neighborhood?

I read a reference to this sort of thing last night at MATY - nnnnnnnnn!
The problem is I can't remember. It's my brain - not my fault. Wait -
Pescado said something about copying a file. I'll try and find it.
Best wishes

In that case, I'd speculate it was made with a certain combination of EPs
and if you've added news ones, that's the source of the incompatibility.
There is something you can tweak in SimPE - at least for objects/skins etc.
Where that information is, is another matter.
Best wishes

Anything with SimPE is way beyond my skill level. I'll just have to keep an
eye out for a Sims1 and SimCity4 at yard sales and see if I can replicate it
again. Ticks me off as I went to a whole lot of trouble to do it exactly
like the original. If I do it again, I'm going to keep paper records so
that I can redo it once more in the Sims3 that I tell myself now that I have
no intention of buying because it would probably require a new and much
faster computer and graphics board. thanks for the suggestions!

This isn't the one I'm using, but I can't find it at the moment, though
I know I got it from MTS2, also. The one I use has this part, plus the
"Downtown" area added with Hot Date, plus the vacation part and the
Magic Town from those expansion packs, as well.

I've just had a complete d'uh moment - I've seen that neighbourhood
recently. My usual travels take me to MTS2, MATY and InSim but I do go and
look at other stuff too. I'll have a look at my history files and see if I
can find it.

Or then again, it might have been Mim's pages. D'oh d'oh d'oh.
