I only have 2GB left on my C Drive so I choose to install on D, which
has 20GB left.

However, the Aegis stuff still loads on C. How do I change that since it
is taking up all the space on C.

You're screwed. I also chose to install to a non-standard location
but still ended up with the Ageia stuff in C:\Program Files. But on
my install it's "only" taking up 98 MB.

You should also note that it puts the .ini files, screenshots and
other detritus in your 'My Documents' folder. The .ini files and what
have you are no problem, but the screenshots can add up pretty quick;
especially if like me you frequently hit the F9 key accidentally. Plus
demos are destined to go in the same place, so I assume any demorecs
you do will also go there. But don't blame Epic. Thank Microsoft and
Vista for this nonsense...

98MB? That Aegis stuff sucks up 2GBB in no time. Actually, UT doesnt
even start to install when I run out of space.

I have My Documents on D: and my page file on E:. I have never run in to
this problem before with another game.

It shouldn't matter, should it? I mean when the game calls to the physics
engine, it should know where it is at. A non-standard install should still
work provided you can fully install it.

Thats the problem, I cant install it. It tells me I am out of disk space
because it is installing on my C drive which only has 2G left.

I have been wanting to rebuild, but I doubt I will for a Beta that is
probably the same game with somewhat better graphics.

Then there's something wrong. No way a physics engine is going to use
2GB on install. The entire demo is using only 1GB.

FWIW I had exactly the same problems as the OP. To begin with I had
about 980Mb free on C: ad the install dies saying there's only ~400M
free. I have my page file on a non-C: partition and installing to yet
another partition.

The only solution for me was to clean up the C: partition until there
was ~2B free. After the install completes there's still over 1G
available - so I assume there must be temp files that are needed
initially which are deleted after it's finished.

Ok. So I cleaned up my C: drive to get to 2.3GB of free space with my
page file on E and the game installing on to D.

It installed this time. My C drive went from 2.3GB down to 740MB then
ended at 2.1GB. This is strange since I only cleaned up 300MB of space,
but it worked so I am happy.

I hope this helps someone else out there.

Set your windows variables to a drive with enough space...that works
fine...
normally it save tmp and temp files to your c:\docs and settings...
Change this to a drive with lots of room...
Worked here, had only 400Mb on c:...

grtz...

Okay - bit late to help you, but in case others have the same problem:
With XP and Vista you can change the directory certain system folders
point to. You can point My Documents or My games to other directories on
other drives, even remote drives. (It's how windows domains work)

But yes - you shouldn't have to mess around and it's yet another bug and
example of a rushed release.
