U3: Water torture jester in LB's prison Easter egg

Greetings.

In Lord British's castle prison in Ultima III, there are jesters imprisoned
in lava and in water. You can reach the former by wading through the
lava; IIRC when spoken to he reveals some important clue about the
location of Dawn.

The water jester, however, is unreachable, since there's no way to walk on
water.

Has anyone "cheated" by altering in-game coordinate variables or by
redrawing the map files to reach this jester? If so, what does he say?
More than likely it's the standard "Good day!" but there's an off-chance
that there's an interesting Easter egg hidden there!

If anyone has done this or feels up to doing it, please post the results!
