Twilight Princess Help - Stuck in the Temple of Time

Hello, any help/hints on this would be greatly appriciated. I'm stuck
in the Temple of Time right now. I made it to the top room and was
able to get the large statue out of that room, but then I run into
problems. I can get the statue down to the room with the laser-eye
statue surrounded by spiked discs. The big statue-warping contraption
here is elevated, and I can't figure out how to activate the lift which
would allow me to get the statue there.

Use the statue's hammer to smash the laser thing, and there's a big
button thing under it, which you can use to manipulate the "lift".
