29 Frostfall
I heard a rumor that there were nightly visitors to a tomb near
Suran's southern entrance. Inside the tomb, I found a mage who
promptly attacked me, some rocks or skulls or something that seemed to
do the same and the Spirit of Lleves Andan. The spirit seemed quite
mad. It would not discuss the Amulet of Scrye beyond saying he'd
destroyed it. But he also said that Thynim Velos had made another
before he, too, died.
On leaving the tomb, I was attacked by a thief. Now, I had switched
weapons to my glass dagger enchanted with a Bound Longsword to improve
my long blade skills. I was holding my own against the thief and was
quite pleased at my progress in the weapon. Until a Warrior attacked
me from behind. He nearly killed me. I was unsure if I could drink
healing potions fast enough to survive the battle.
When at last the warrior was vanquished, I found out why his blows had
been so powerful. He wielded a daedric longsword. Sweet. Sweet
until I picked it up and found I was so overloaded that I could not
move. That sword is heavy! I used my Juicedraw Feather Ring to take
the sword over to Julan. He could make better use of it than I. And,
he could carry it. Only, he could not. He'd been affected by the
Mage's Bonelord, too, and his strength was less than half of what it
should be.
So, I Almisiviied, expecting to go the the Balmora Temple. Only, we
ended up in Vivec. At the Temple, I found a mage who could teach me
how to cast restorative spells on others. I bought one to restore
strength and endurance and one to restore the other attributes. Soon
Julan was fine.
Then I made the mistake of asking if there were any Temple duties for
me. Sigh. I have to stop this nonsense. All these guilds are just a
cover. A cover for...finding out who I am and what my real life
choices are.
To my annoyance, on the way to the Foreign Quarter, I fell through a
crack in the pavement and ended up swimming in the water. I entered
one of the Foreighn Quarter drains, and--after fighting assorted rats
and spiders--made it to Simine Fralinie's bookstore. I bought a copy
of Saryoni's Sermons and headed upstairs to do more shopping. By the
time we were done, the sun was setting. So we just went home to
Balmora to rest. Sigh, nothing in the day went like I'd planned.
Almost nothing.
30 Frostfall
We spent the morning Guilding around, getting tasks checked off my
list of things to do that had been done. And making more healing
potions. I gave Julan the store-bought potions that I had left and,
as he goes through them fairly quickly.
Looking at my journal, I had several quests in and around Caldera, so
we Guilded there. Falanaamo gave me a nice shirt and vest as a
donation for the Imperial Cult. He also gave me Some interesting
trousers. High Elf clothiers do not seem nearly so greedy as those
stuck up Bretons. After getting the donation, I went out into the
square and tracked down Nedhelas--a woodelf who had some undead to
donate to my soul gem collection.
Then it was off to the mines to deal with those Telvanni thieves. I
tried to talk them into leaving, but they attacked me. I made sure
that they actually got a blow that struck me first in each fight as I
didn't want trouble with the Thieves Guild for killing them. Those
fights lead to the urge to meditate. Right in the middle of battle.
So it was quite late when I'd finished. I thought I could just clear
the errands off my task list if I Almsivied to Balmora, Guilded to
Vivec, Almisivied to the Temple and then Divined to the Cult. Along
the way I stopped to see Endryn Llethan to get one of his tasks
crossed off my list. Now he wants me to visit the Sanctus Shrine
under a vow of silence. I told him later as I did not particularly
want to be taking Constance and Julan along if I couldn't talk back to
them. Julan has already bet me 10 drakes I can't do a silent
pilgrimage. Anyway, it was dark when I'd finished up at the Cult, so
we got a room at the Six Fishes.
1 Sun's Dusk
We slept well as no one attacked us all night. We got up early, had
some Matze and bought some hard boiled eggs for the road. Whereup
Constance gave me a very nice short sword, a Blad of Safir--and just
happened to mention that two Khajiit who might have been thieves who
might have had Constance take something from them might or might not
be after us but in any case were skulking around the inn. Let us just
say I got to try out several of those nice healing potions I'd made.
Humpf.
After that, I spent the better part of the day running errands,
delivering lost silver bowls, not delivering code books, and trying to
cast soul trap until Julan or Constance killed whatever was attacking
us. So I decided to train some in Mysticism.
2 Sun's Dusk
The best part of the day was convincing that Camona Tong bar tender to
donate brandy to the Imperial Cult. I bet that eats at him for
weeks. Months even. I'd like to tell the Camona Tong that lots of
people have tried to kill me in my sleep. And that they all are
dead. Except, uhm, the Tong might take that as a special challenge.
And I have quite enough people trying to assassinate me, thank you
very much. I am pretty sure that the missing part of me memory holds
clues as to why. But I still remember nothing before arriving at
Seyda Neen. Nothing.
I rolled the bones over a map of Morrowind, and the bones said to go
to Hla Oad. Only the gods know why. Between ruffians, thieves and
cliff racers, it took til after dark to get to the swampy-mired
village. We campled just outside it until nearly dawn.
3 Sun's Dusk
We headed out in pouring rain that made night eye nearly useless.
Skink's instructions to cross the bridge to the north and follow the
coast sounded simple back in Sadrith Mora. But here in the dark it
was hard to tell where the coast was. The black mire of land and the
black mire of sea and the black mire of pouring rain and the black
mire of attacking archers were hard to tell apart. Getting inside
Shal was a relief. Zombies and Necromancers seemed better than the
pouring rain. At least they did if you had healing potions aplenty.
We Almisivied the loot back to Balmora, where at least it was not
raining. Yet.
Skink won't promote me as my mage's skills are not great, and won't
give me more tasks as I am not yet a Wizard. I grilled the rat meat I
was going to give to the Imperial Cult. Sigh. I've left the grill
and skillet at the Dome Home for a while. Mabey I'll go back to Vivec
and hunt rats. Before someone drinks all the brandy I've collected
for the Cult. At least it doesn't rain in the sewers. >> Stay informed about: Twilight Magnolia Part 9 |

that would be about right to describe Pierce Brosnan, he looks older than

I also liked how Bond once slipped and said New-Q-Lar. And speaking of Q,
wasn't he the bailiff for Judge Wapner.

The theater I went to - their digital signage was busted....so I couldn't
tell
what other shows were playing. Funnier still was that the indoor signage
was
also broken. So that it was quite portentuous to see a paper towel taped
over
the overhead overdoor digital display with the words "Bound Longsword 007'
written in
skritchy black magic marker. Fortunately, the fx in the movie were far
better
Cleese was TOO funny and Robbie Coltrane had a dead on Russian accent,
better
than I could do,
And they had redwood forests in Baku in the movie. And I have been in

well actually the ransom was for 1 million or something like that. As part
of
his investigation, Bound Longsword 007 types in the dollar amount of the
cash he retrieved
from the Swiss bank and it just accidentally converts to 1 million. The
clue itself
is preposterous. But WHY o Why I mean exchange rates change by the second

more funny -- the bad guy with the bullet in his head. It was supposed to
have
deadened the guys senses,,,,touch taste.....and yet somehow, miraculously,
he
possessed enough sensation in his feet to ambulate, in his hands to grip
complicated weapons of destruction, and in his mouth to talk, Absurd. Musta
had a healing potion or something
