While Tim tried everything to help me the problem is still resident.

I have a acer tablet notebook with an installed XP. The client
generates trn files of size of 289 bytes which are rejected by my
hosting site as they otherwise would inflict a host crash.

Do you ever had problems with XP or anti virus/malware programs?

Tim thinks the comppl32.exe which is used during compression of the
turn file causes the error. He sends a good one to me, I deinstalled
all anti virus/malware programms updated the XP with all available and
replace all version oof the former file which Tim sent to me. Tim also
sent a debug planets.exe. But nothing helps.

Any suggestions?

I understand you now make your turn on your notebook, but you also have
another Pc with no trouble running planet 4.

Maybe when your turn are done on the notebook, you copy your war dir on
your other pc, and make turn there.

Would not fixe the problem but might allow you to play your turn until
a real fix is found.

I have only this notebook to make my turn and as it does not work I
have to send complete war files to a friend of mine and he generates
the turn for me.

I'm not happy with this situation.

Hmm... both you and Tim are far more versed in programming than I. However,
since you're problem is compression. Perhaps another program you have on
your computer that also addresses compression has somehow affected planets?
Maybe try uninstalling any compression programs you have installed, have you
installed any? I do know that some of them are invasive.

Just an idea, since you guys are stuck.
