I know what true happiness is:

True happiness is when I kiss the runway while landing my 737 and the
computer is stuttering, spluttering, coughing, hacking, wheezing,
fluttering, stopping, starting, moaning, groaning, and literally
vomiting all over the place.

Now, that's simming, my friends : )

Poor Snake...

Perhaps we should set up a Paypal donations account to get you that new
computer a little sooner? We could even spam the other groups...

Its not really that flippant a situation, Varmit, I'm guessing - but hey,
I've been wrong before, mate!! Smile)

I just upgraded my Radeon X850 drivers to the latest Omega version, and, all
of a sudden, for the first time ever, I initially got just completely grey
planes yesterday, and today, the 'Sim won't even load at all - FAR OUT, just
when I wanted to go for a cruise in my Spitfire, and Mustang, as they're
really loading the exams on to us at the moment (pre-Easter, I guess......).

I'm thinking I'll have to create the time to format, and re-install......
#!&%$!!

Fair dinkum, some times it's very hard to remain polite, and civil,
although, it's always worthwhile if you can manage it!!!!

And I haven't even got my CH Products stuff hooked up these days (which I
paid many dollars for), as, somehow, the Axes' (is that O.K. Quilly? Smile )
assignments tripped over themselves!!!

Sheeeesh!!!!, as Bill Leaming used to post - and, speaking of Bill, has
anyone bought the latest Eaglesoft Release - the Liberty Aerospace XL2?

For those who have - any comments? I'd never heard of the plane before (not
that that means anything), so, I wonder why they picked it as their latest
project??

When I get the sim working smoothly, I go into "If it ain't broke, don't fix
it" mode. My Nvida drivers are very old and I'm afraid to update them.

Reinstall? Are ATI drivers that hard to roll back?

From a Windows Xp perspective, they're no different to Nvidia drivers to
roll back (although many people say that there are some extra "thoroughness"
steps you should do when you're un-installing previous versions of these
drivers, before installing the latest ones you may have downloaded...), i.e.
still a big difference between Nvidia and ATI drivers, even though ATI has
finally got their act together, re drivers.

I did it because last time I did it, something fouled up, and I couldn't
make any anti-aliasing, or anisotropic filtering, settings.

And I still don't understand fs9.cfg well enough to get past having my
scenery pop into view/clarity I would say only a few km (definitely less
than 5) in front of my plane...

Do you think there will be places in the USA that rent Sport Category
aircraft?

Hi John! I just updated my x700pro drivers the other day and haven't had any
trouble. I went to look at the Omega Drivers, but wasn't sure if I needed
the ati ones as well as the Omega ones, or just the Omega ones. Anyway, the
Omega ones were 1 version behind the ati ones, so I didn't install them.
Could that have anything to do with the problem you are having?

Sure.. I saw an advertisement for a big outfit in Florida already doing it.
Can't remember where. But Google doesn't turn up much.
