It's weird. They drive on one side in neighbourhood view and the other on
the lots.

I thought it was something I had in my userstartup.cheat file:

boolProp carsOnRight false

That to be precise. But it's an American game and you can't change the side
they drive on in the lots.

No, I know. But I don't have that in my userstartup, and the cars in 'hood
view have been on the left since I first loaded the base game. Maybe it's
built in to games sold here.

Could be. Cars drive on the left in my 'hood as well! Which I didn't even
think about until it was mentioned. It just seemed natural... LOL

Do you think it will be long before the base game is not supported by
downloads and decent hacks? I am handicapped in not being able to use
an EP.

I have passed the NL on to my daughter. It works for her but the test
will come when she reboots the computer. In my case it would never
work on reboot. So it is something in my computer but I am not going
to try and find out because my computer is used for Sims for an hour a
day and for my web page and other things for most of the time.

mmmm - odd certainly though it wasn't the case in my game. I had to put
that in so they were on the left.

If I were to chang it, I would really be confuddled, as I live in
North America. If I were ever to travel to Europe, I would change
it to get used to it before I leave Canada.

That would depend on where in Europe you are, in most European countries you drive on the
right side. In my game (wich I bought from Play.com in the UK), the cars drive on the
left side which is irritating but not exactly a problem.
