I sent Challis Shepardess and her boyfriend, not a live in, to 3 Lakes
or whatever the lumberjack place is....really strange that you have to
"manage" your invited guest through the vacationing SIM...they did a bit
of smooching on the bed and then she decided she was too tired and went
to sleep while he sat there all night in relax mode...I guess I should
have "shoo'd" him off the bed! SO she spent most of her vacation calling
him to come over here, or join me doing this or that...and I hate it
when you have a couple and one gets seated at a table and the other goes
off and sits somewhere else...that's one thing I wish they'd fix...I
chose the 5 day/4 night package but they were only there one night and
they signed out! And boy, vacations are pricey! >> Stay informed about: First Trip to Vacation Land |

You can invite the guests to come to bed once your sims are all in bed (and
as long as they are tired) - click on the sim and the option comes up. What
you can do also, if you play with Debug Mode on, is drag the energy bar down
so they are tired.
Best wishes

Just out of curiosity, since I don't have BV yet (Circuit City was sold out
when I looked today), can you use the testing cheats to make guests
selectable while on Vacation? (Like you can do with sims visiting) >> Stay informed about: First Trip to Vacation Land |

When I've taken visitors (Casandra and family taking non-live-in
Mortimor), the visitor (Mortimor) was pretty much left to manage on
his own. He kept himself alive, though he eventually went home early
as too many moods got too low, I guess. However, he apparently had a
great vacation, just like everyone else. >> Stay informed about: First Trip to Vacation Land |

the cabin and when Chllis came back from a hike he was there at the
hotle desk waiting to log out... >> Stay informed about: First Trip to Vacation Land |

Well, they are semi-selectable anyway since they appear as members of the
family on the LH side of the screen, you just can't direct them to do
anything. You can, however, use Debug Mode to manipulate their needs.

Well, that would make kind of sense seeing as they are sort of like Pets
when on holiday. You can see what they're doing but you can't control them.
I'd guess, from that then, that Maxis used the Pets coding for guest sims.
It's only a shame they didn't extend it to pets and then you could take them
with you.

So, you now get to tell your vacation date to do various things, unlike
in the original TS1 Vacation where you had to hope and pray that your
date would join in... Sounds good to me. How're the dates when it
comes to them taking care of their own needs (mainly Bladder)? [which
they seemed to have a *ton* of trouble doing in TS1 :]

He did really well until it came to night time..I think I botched it
becasue they were rekaxing and cuddking in the bed and she decided to go
to sleep..I woke her up to tell him to go to bed but the only options
were gypsy potions and shoo...I guess I should have shoo'd him and then
maybe he would have found the other bed or got in with her when he got
too tired... >> Stay informed about: First Trip to Vacation Land |
