My favorite quote:
While I was reading our office manager Dixie came into my office,
holding a phone and looking a little perplexed. "There's an important
call for you on the Sales line," she said. No one calls me on the sales
line. It was Howard Andrew Jones, telling me Gary Gygax had just died.
"Who the hell is Gary Gygap?" Mary Jo Skrobul asked at lunch.
"If geeks had a nation," I said, groping for a way to explain, "he would
have been our king." >> Stay informed about: Another Tribute |

Pity they made it medium blue text on a black background, and thus
completely unreadable. Might have been interesting.

Yeah, terrible design.
"Select all" fixes it for me (depends on your OS and browser settings).

Sometimes I click 'highlight all' if I really want to read something. One
thing I miss about opera is I could get rid of all the background colors.

From what I could tell, it rather waxed philosohpical about what a
financial genius Gygax was, and how all TSR's woes trace to them
getting rid of Gygax. Yawn. He was tossed because he nearly drove
them out of business with idiocy like trying to make movies. That
his successors were even more inept does not change this.

Heh - that's the first thing I do for most pages. Click on "User
mode" in Opera, so I can absorb the content rather than seeing someone
else's aesthetics. >> Stay informed about: Another Tribute |
