> How did this ridiculous abortion of a deck win a 14-player tournament.
He came 5th before the final
Seating Hobbit ( Ahrimanes Wall ) - Psyrak ( High cap Votes OBF-PRE) -
Gil ( Oliver trace/Muaziz Toolbox) - FNL (Cardano Freak) - 15MTV (
Parity Shift- Zilah's Valley)
He was in big trouble at the beginning of the game. His pred had
Muaziz. The big treat was Hobbit with his Ahrimanes Wall deck. So FNL
made a deal with me (15MTV), 2 turns of peace between us. I took those
2 turns to oust Hobbit. I help Psyrak to oust Gil (I had a deal to help
him because he help me oust Hobbit). Them, FNL made a deal with Psyrak,
they oust me and they go to man-to-man. I had enough time to cripple
Psyrak but I was 1 pool short of ousting him. So FNL oust me and finish
the job I started on Psyrak.
So he made the right move at the right time (and some good deals)
The deck is note everything >> Stay informed about: Tournament Report: Quebec City, March 5th, 2006 |

Yeah. Sometime soon I'll be traipsing halfway around the world and
braving sub-zero temperatures, recrementitious government regulation,
gut-churningly bad cuisine, and uptight French-speakers to teach spotty
18-year-old LARPers with 3133+ h@Nd31Z like "Hobbit" and "Psyrak" how
to build tournament-winning V:TES decks that they shouldn't feel
ashamed of publishing online.
Or perhaps I'll stay home and clean cheesy sebaceous secretions from my
prepuce instead.
Keep it real like a fisherman, Charlie. >> Stay informed about: Tournament Report: Quebec City, March 5th, 2006 |

Congratulations to Francois! And two Tremere decks in the finals?
Quebec City sounds like a great place to play V:TES
There are many cards in this deck which seem to be strange choices,
like the Murder of Crows or two IR Goggles. Could FNL give a little
explanation of the deck for those of us outside his head and metagame?

What's so strange? The deck seems to prefer ranged combat which the
Goggles provide (notice the lack of transient maneuvers), so why not
some permanent ranged damage to go with it? Thouugh I would rather have
another Owl Companion. >> Stay informed about: Tournament Report: Quebec City, March 5th, 2006 |

The Magic of the Smiths mean that he can fish out IR Goggles at any
time... I don't see how doubling up on them is as good as including
other useful equipment like .44 Magnum, Sport Bike/Bowl of Convergence,
etc.
Just an example. I'd like to hear the author's thoughts on the deck.
