I think I may even have the original Amiga disks in storage somewhere
(along with my old A500).
I'm currently in a bit of a retro phase as I'm seeing what sort of
games will play well on an eeePC. I'm currently installing earlier
win95 games like superEF2k; Combat Flight Sim1; DI's Longbow, Hind,
and F16; Longbow Anthology; Flanker; Red Baron 2; Tank Platoon2;
Gunship!
So far the only failure I've had is EAW, it just didn't start. I've
also had no luck with glide emulators and RB3D or the DI titles
(haven't tried it with Janes AH64D yet). This is likely due to
the intel graphics chipset on the eeePC.
I've even installed Operation Flashpoint but it runs like a bit of a
dog during action which is a pity. I'll probably just use it for
scenarios rather than playing the campaign.
One modern game that suprised me is Wings over Europe - from my brief
testing it looks great and seems to run okay. Maybe I'll try out that
trackir emulation program using the eeePC's webcam as WOE supports TIR.
Using a logitech dual axis gamepad makes flying any of the sims a challenge
but it's fun re-living them.
