Archived from groups: alt>games>neverwinter-nights (more info?)

My brother in law is doing some module creation and is running into
problems. Whenever he creates a new set of armour, he is limited to a +4
armour, in dialogues he is having problems getting the script to allow a
multiple choice menu with the ability to select any question and then get
back to the conversation - right now it is select, get the answer, close
out and start the conversation over again.

What would be most helpful for him is if there is a "Use Group" that deals
with the Tool-kit.

Thanks

Deb

Well, it is explained in the Toolset tutorial to be found on the
Bioware page...

It is also described in the original toolkit guide by Versus books on
page 103, the one that was released when the game came out.

Oh, you're absolutely right.

That's why I gave up the NWN scenario that took me so long to build.

I'm a moron.

Sorry about the disturbance, I didn't want to take so much room in the
forum. I don't know why I keep bothering people that like this game...

(Was about to write two paragraph long of answer ... sorry)

I don't really think you are a moron, I think you are lazy and spoiled.

First you come in here with the attitude that people are obliged to
hand deliver you information that you can't be bothered to dig up
yourself and that the community is at fault for not delivering said
information, you seem to be utterly oblivious of the scope of the
toolkit and how many things fall into the category of "obvious info
someone should have told me", and now you are going to cry about it?
You are truly pathetic.

I don't know.
I was really sorry about disturbing the forum !

I wasn't my intention to do so much posts about me.
There is no point in doing that.

But now that you are insulting me in front of everyone in the forum I
begin to feel a little angry.

Besides, and foremost, their would REALLY be no point in not giving a
real built answer so here it is.

If I can just ask a favor :

Really keep your personnal psychologic interpretations for yourself.
Or at least, don't make a habit of using it (It backfires, I know it
from experience).

Because you're wrong, and happily I'm stupid enough to defend myself.

You know their are VERY FEW THINGS I'm sure of. Very very few things.
But I know who I am, and you don't. A simple text on the world wide web
can not give you enough information.

BESIDES your posts about me are not useful to no one. Taking room, and
out of the newsgroup subject.

BESIDES I answered the original post with a correct and precise answer.
But I'm sure you would have answered : "Go check your manual" ? No, you
answered "go check the forum" why ? There is a precise question !! There
is a trouble in giving a precise answer ?????????? There is trouble in
saving him the research time ??????????

Because of ONE expression, you make a damn affair about who I am ? Do
you really think the other bother what I think or who I am ? You think
they bother ? Of course they don't ! And do you think they bother what
YOU think ??? I'm afraid some do but think about all the others.

You may dislike what I say, respect the other people's time and patience.

And respect me as I respect you, did I make theories about who you are
and what you do ? Did I ?

I never said no one gave me the info ?
Or did I ?

I could have avoided this answer if you did not post things like
"learn to read" -> I don't understand but I don't bother.
"educate yourself" -> This one's right though : I've been too rough.
"you are a moron" -> I still can accept, since it's partially true.
"you are pathetic" -> ...

You could have avoided this last one.

I don't see any insult in my posts, I would have only posted the
original post and would have kept it quiet.

You are the only one responsible for this useless discussion to carry
on. Because now that you said "you are pathetic" I won't stop until you
do. There are things I can't forgive when they're said in front of everyone.

See you.

PS : I won't consider as a "VICTORY" if you don't answer. You will just
accept to have been wrong once and respect the topic of the forum. And
still we're at the end of the post, and there is no insult and no theory
about who you may be Smile

And your answer was wrong. The OP wanted to know how to create multiple
choice options for the PC and then continue the conversation from those
options. To date, all he/she had been able to achieve was to put in one
PC option and then the conversation ends. They didn't want to know
anything about linking.

Your answer was also wrong because creating a link in a conversation is
not some hidden "everyone-knows-it-so-no one-talks-about-it" CTRL key.
It's a simple right-click and Paste as Link. No one talks about using
the CTRL key because there is an easier way to do it.

But then, seeing as you so dislike searching for information yourself,
you probably didn't know this.

I did not understood.
Creating multiple choice is too easy to talk about, so I thought he had
the same problem I had some years ago with the shortcuts, which I did
not find anything about.

Than I'm not a moron, I'm mentally deficient.
I just checked what you said, it works fine.
So, that's what "paste as link" means ...
I would have liked this info when I was building my module !!!

Come on, please.
I "so dislike searching for information" ???
I don't remember having said that one day...

Anyway, I gotta get to learn a bit more of english before going back in
here... It's good for pratice though.

I guess now I got my answer I can get back to my module.
