I liked Tomb Raider Legend. How's the new one compare?

Try the demo and see for yourself.

The demo didn't sell it to me as the gameplay felt old compared to
Legend.

I'm playing Legend now and I also played the Anniversary demo. The interface
and graphics seemed pretty much the same to me. Hard to get a feel of the
entire game from just a demo. The gameplay seemed similar enough to where I
might be interested, but not at new game prices.

Anniversary is only $29. It doesn't have the "next gen" graphics option
that Legend had.

I tried that option. Didn't look much better and slowed things down
tremendously. I'll wait until it drops below $20 maybe. Still have to finish
Legend, anyway. About halfway through. Pretty fun game, but these checkpoint
games do annoy me at times.

Me too. Unless they're intelligently spaced out. I don't mind having to redo
a small segment once, but to have to redo one really difficult segment only
to have to do one or two more difficult segments before it will save is
ultimately annoying. There was a Star Trek game years ago that was fun, but
the checkpoint saves were so spread out that it became so annoying I just
deleted it off my hard drive. ZAP! Beam it out Scotty!

All I know is that it's Tomb Raider One redone. That's awsome becuase Tomb Raider was a game that changed the industry and is one I grew up with. I think I was 15 when it came out. It's awsome to see an old classic get a face lift, I can't wait to play it.

Oh and I had Legend on the 360. That game was sweet, but still to many humans to kill. They need to revert back to adventuring in Caves and tombs like the first one and like Revelations and stop giving us Skyscrapers in Japan. Mad

I am only on the 3rd level but think it was a great job at re-doing TR1.
When I get into some of the rooms...ahh brings back good memories. If
you never played or enjoyed TR1 it may be different for you. As for
Legends, it was good, but this seems special if not better.
