Complete lack of any interest in this group for just out latest TR ..???
This is supposed to be a re-working of the original Tomb Raider video game,
using the same game engine as 'Legend' to bring it up to date for the 21st
Century.

PS2 reviews are good ..but the console reviews are always sickeningly
'positive'.
I'd best keep quite as I turned on the cheats in Legend at around 30 % done
& gave up by 50%.
IMO The only decent Tomb Raider since the 1st one was Angel Of Darkness .
Nobody else thinks so (the secret with AOD is to use the keyboard control &
avoid the mouse...just like the earlier games)
it least it tried to go a different route.

I liked TR back in the day, though never finished it due to getting
stuck somewhere, but like most retro gaming, I don't want to go back
to it. TR:Legend was a great game, and I would rather see a sequel to
that than a revamped original.

I will try the demo and see how it plays, and if I like it will buy it
for my 360 as it was the best platform for that for TR:L.

This Tomb Raider No. 10 (then one should count all the expansion packs that
were put
out with the earlier ones ..must be 15+ all together)
Doom3 ...G3....Q4...HL2 ..I'm tempted to try n be clever & claim STALKER as
Boiling Point 2..
which is really of cause Codname Outbreak the 2nd.
ALL the films ('Movies' if u must) out in my UK cinemas ('Movie Houses')
are sequels ...Spiderman 3...Pirating in the Caribbean 3...Harry Potter the
100th next week ..Fantastic Four 2nd (y the 1st one is awful ??)
Ocean's Thirteen (last one bad )..there is even talk of a sequel to Thelma &
Louse ??
& there supposed to be dead.
I don't know what worlds coming to.

That was a bit of random outpouring wasn't it?

I might just buy Anniversary actually. TR2 on a Voodoo 2 or 3 was
another "wow" moment for me. The game was pretty good too.

Haven't really liked any of them since to be honest though. Legend was
OK to start with but I got bored with it after a couple of hours play.

""Legend was OK to start with but I got bored with it after a couple of

Me to..I really think Angel of Darkness deserves more interest ..you have to
ignore the
bad mouse control.
Its sad in that the Tomb Raider basic design is capable of far more
variation ..
'They' just keep on with the same narrow formulae ..
Lara's a bit interesting (tho I suspect totally Gay ..never a boyfriend) in
a genre
with few decent characters.
She's good for a proper Adventure game or (say)
"Morrowind II : The Revenge of the Neverine's daughter"
just seems like a waste .
Think I'll get out 'Heavy Metal FAKK2'

Heh, I finished that one over one weekend as I recall.

I for one would like to see a remake of it, since the first one was
mostly about exploration rather than blasting away at things.
I've tried replaying it, but the graphics and supported resolutions are
so outdated I just can't.

is about the same level too.

Are your reviews as well worded?

"AI sucks"

"about the same level too".

Impressive prose.
