Not all cheats are gold cheats. In fact, MOST cheats aren't gold
cheats [grin].

Thanks, but I don't consider trainers = cheats, don't use them.

Thanks Allan, you're correct.

Also, and this has been said many times in many ways, I play games my
way and others play games their way. It's called freedom and how I
play does not effect how others play.

It's amazing how we're both human beings with 99.999% of exactly the
same chromosomes and what not, yet we have almost completely opposite
likes. To me it's all about the trip and not the destination. I do
play MMORPGs, and normally I play it for the trip to max level, once I
reach max level I just quit the game as I don't really care about
getting a magic hat that adds 100 to dexterity and what not. I hated
it and actually left groups if we had to do some tough quest/mission
and someone invited 'their high level friend' to help.
But again, that's what makes us humans I guess Smile

I too agree everybody should be able to play the game as much as they want
their way. It's why I hate the save games that make you save at certain
points in the game. I believe everygame should have enough cheats built
into it so if you get stuck at a certain place you can keep going. I don't
know how many games I have over the years where I really wanted to finish
them but ran out of patience and got stuck. sometimes when I found the
solution I could kick myself and sometimes it was ridiculous. Why charge
people 50 bucks for a game though many cannot finish just because it is
either too difficult or they are dummies or not coordinated enough. There
are so many like that and it's very disheartening. Another thing is I wish
they would come out with these cheats or walkthroughs or whatever near game
release. often times by the time the the help comes out it is 6 months
later and you're already burned out.

From what I've seen so far, anybody who needs cheats to get through Titan
Quest would need cheats to watch Spongebob Squarepants, too.

I agree.

You have to finish it on easy before you get hard, you know. My copy
arrived yesterday, and so far I've only got as far as the Spartan camp.
The only noticeable difference(apart from the extra masteries) is that
all the prices have been hit by inflation.

It is truly a difficult thing for people to understand that not everybody
things or acts the same way they do. It is a problem on a personal level or
diplomatic level or any level for that matter. When I was a practicing
trial lawyer I would often teach and give advice to other lawyers and one of
the main ones was spend your energy trying to think like the other side. we
know how you think and react. How many times have you read of an
experienced game developer talk about his game and say we had no idea the
gamers would do X or Y to our game After hours of testing we didn't even
know the game could do that.

Reminds me of a flight sim several years ago that had the devs taking flack
because some enterprising souls discovered that it was possible to
successfully land . . . upside down.

The devs take--well, who in their right mind would ever even think of such?

They damn well should have thought of it - anything but a wheels on the
runway _should_ have been a crash - maybe survivable, maybe not.

That's not a "who would have thought of that" thing - that's the most
basic thing about landing.
