I've started to build my rail system in SimCity 4 and I was wondering which
way idealy should the station tile face. Should the arrow point towards a
road/street or the rail track? If the arrow should face a road/street should
the rail track be at the rear of the station tile?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice.

Hey,
I do not think it matters what way you face the station as long as you have
a road and track intersection right next to the station. Without that
intersection the rail connection does not work. At www.simtropolis.com there
is a thread about this is great detail. For look reasons I always make the
building face the track as much as possible, however for the most part I use
the rail on top of track station ( like elevated rail) lot from
simtropolis.com it saves so much land.

I haven't found a facing that didn't work properly. Pretty much all you
need is a side covered by a road connection and a side covered by a rail
one. Use the route query tool to make sure everything is working properly.
