HDNet used to transmit ten minutes of basic test patterns in high def
just before their "Nothing But Trailers" show on Monday mornings, but I
haven't checked recently. IIRC, they include color bars that can also be
used to check black level and a pattern to check overscan and position.
Hardly comprehensive, but better than nothing.
