In the control settings in FS2004 it shows there can be up to four engine
throttle axes settings .In practice this can only be acheived on single and
twin engined aircraft. I purchased a Saitek Aviator joystick with seperate
throttles expecting to be able to control up to four engines .Saitek now tell
me that due to Flight Sim restrictions I can only control two. Cannot
Microsoft make it possible to enable up to four engines ,Thanks ,artyone

Yes, a DUAL throttle joystick controls TWO engines.

You can control any combination of one or more engines with one
throttle. This would apply to one of the throttles on the Saitek
Aviator, leaving the other throttle available for some other function.
But the SIMULATOR doesn't include the ability to assign a second
throttle to multiple engines. That shouldn't be a barrier to the game
controller manufacturer including that ability in their driver though
(using the driver to report motion in multiple axis in response to the
motion in one).

Unless the dual throttle manufacturers get more cooperative you may need
to get the CH throttle Quadrant for independent control of engines in
excess of two http://www.chproducts.com/retail/t_tq_quad.html .
