Two questions please:-

If one was to play blood sweat then add target vitals (assuming the
blood sweat hit) would the + 2 dam from target vitals also be
unpreventable?

Some people in our playgroup suggested the target vitals could be
prevented separately. Is this correct?

thanx

Target Vitals
Aim. Play when choosing a strike.
If any damage from this strike is successfully inflicted on the
opposing minion, he or she takes an additional 2 damage from this
strike, and he or she cannot press this round. The opposing minion
may discard two combat cards [COMBAT] to cancel this card. A minion
may play only one aim each strike.

Blood Sweat
[qui] Strike: 2R damage; only usable at long range. Damage cannot be
prevented.
[QUI] Strike: 3R damage; only usable at long range. Damage cannot be
prevented.

From card text, the +2 damage comes from the strike, not as an
additional source. The damage from Blood Sweat cannot be prevented. So
if the strike reaches damage resolution, the victim will be taking 4/5
damage unless they are immune to the damage.

Yes.

Additional damage inherits the properties of the original damage.

Additional damage inherits all of the properties of the base damage
(So the +1 damage from lucky blow is aggravated for Basilia).

Nope.

Anyone else have the feeling that Target Vitals is maybe a bit
overpowered?

There has been a discussion on this topic in the WW forum a little
while ago.

Having played "Target Vitals" (8 copies + 2 copies of "Target Hand")
in a tournament last weekend, I can say the card is definetely very
strong, not so much against combat decks, but against decks with light
or no combat defense it's awesome. It's debatable if the card is
really _overpowered_. The main problem IMHO is that you do not have to
meet any requirements for playing it. So it can be included in any
weenie/ally/imbued deck easily. Without having _any_ discipline, you
can hit for 4 with "Weighted Walking Stick" and "Target Vitals". Maybe
it would have been a better decision that they would require Celerity
or Auspex or something similar.

I don't think it makes _all_ of the other aim cards useless in
comparison; I also quite like "Target Hand" due to its ability to
destroy weapons. "Target Vitals" is not so good as you only need a
single card to cancel it.

I don't see it as overpowered, more like suffering from "Perfectionist
syndrome" - it's so good compared to the other Target cards, there's hardly
any point in playing them.

Surely you meant "Target Head" ?
