Hi all,
Is there a cross-reference list for vector cinematronics tues? In other
words: i'd like to change my tube, do I need an original tube or some
equivalent exists?
THanks,
Marco

Any 19" B&W tube should do.

I don't think so.

It is a Vector Monitor first off not just any B&W. Even so you can't
just plug in a 19V200 or a G05, they are different. Someone use to
talk about what it would take to make a conversion kit to adjust
voltages. But as far as I know you are going to need on from another
Cinematronics.

Gee, I do think so, because I've done it.

A tube doesn't care what's driving it.

Neck pinouts *can* be different, that is true. Not sure I've ever seen
it, though... maybe once or twice on some really whacked out tubes.
It's definitely the exception and not the rule.

Good luck!

Sorry, first off I was thinking monitor not just tube. Even so I did
not realize it was so flexible that the yoke can just be put on the
back of any B&W tube.

Rob is 100% right. There is NO difference between Raster and Vector tubes.
There are different dot pitches and backside angles but thats the only
difference as far as the tubes go. its the YOKE that makes a world of
difference.

The same goes for color vectors. The only pisser is finding that oddball
tube used on 6100's and GO8's (I think). There is a source that sells these
new or rebuilt though.

Where does one find B&W tubes these days? Old 19" B&W TV's seem impossible
to find in my area (Portland, Oregon), even at thrift stores...
