TECH: _Pac Man_ board resetting - I've got a _Pac Man_ board (a Midway original) that's really making me scratch my head. It resets at the same point in the program. Upon boot-up, it goes through the cycles of garbage, and when it's trying to post the grid screen, you see it..

Q: Resetting Millipede High Scores - I'm pretty sure Millipede resets all but the top three high scores when using the in test mode. However, aren't they supposed to reset to low or zero values? I get the "EA FF" indicator (or whatever it displays in test mode) when I..

My Dig Dug recently died, and is driving me crazy. It is a type B
board, and now displays static garbage on the screen with the reset
line on CPU #1 constantly cycling. No error messages are displayed.
I have swapped out the 3 CPUs, all roms and the custom chips (from my
spare Dig Dug board). I have also swapped all of the 74 series chips
from the watchdog, reset and CPU #1 circuits, with no change. I even
replaced the sockets on CPU #1 and the corresponding 08 custom.
Voltages are fine, both in the cab and my test bench.

Any ideas where to go from here?

Thanks!

-Paul

I don't have alot of experience with Dig Dug but my Crystal Castles had what
sounds like the same symptoms. The machine was in a constant reset. What I
found was the big blue cap was on it's way out. Changed the cap, no more
reset. Hope this helps.
