Hi group!

I recently moved my 28" cab out of storage, and after a good inspection i
turned it on. The monitor seems to have gotten some issues whilst in
storage. At first, there was an image, but it was dim (almost like rgb
levels were too low) and i could see retrace lines. Now, i get a 'decent'
picture on power on for about 1 second, then it becomes blurry and seems to
'fade' away to the right. (it's more of a 'wipe away' effect, difficult to
describe.)

Picture was good before it went into storage a year ago. I can hear the
tube, and there is a neck glow too. I check for cold solder joints, the
chassis has (semi) easy access, but there appear to be no cracks. The pcb
looks like it just came out of the factory.

The cab itself is a Dutch 'masterplay' cab, i've got schematics, thank god,
but i don't really know where to start.. The caps look clean and not busted,
but should i cap the thing anyway ?

Any hints are welcome Smile

- Alex

Thats a tuff one...I would initially say that the tube has gone, but you
describe a "wipe" of color...so maybe its the high voltage.
