The guy who showed me fire elemental druids are not useless in
hell also showed me his summoning druid. He was the first druid
I saw in HC who used Heart of Wolverine instead of Oak Sage.
However, I believe his HoW is there to boost minions' damage
more than AR.
AFAIK, minions are treated as having the same level as the
summoning player when determining their chances to hit (which
takes into consideration AR, target defense, attacker/target
level difference, etc). So, say a level 50 summoner has maxed
summoning skills, his minions would still be having very tough
time hitting anything in Hell. In contrast, a lvl 90 minion
won't miss much. I wouldn't worry that much about minions AR
until they start complaining.
Your main concern later on should be PI monsters though. Try get
your merc a Reaper's Toll.
