Stuck in Mistake of Pythagoras

I'm stuck somewhere else now. Can't get past the long spiral staircase down
where the machine that spawns manhacks is. On the lower levels it spawns
endless zombies and there's a door, but I can't get in the door. Am I
supposed to blow up the machine (the mixer) or do something with the walls
of the rooms? WTF?!!!!

That's a nasty bit of the game, alright.

I had to resort to God Mode, and still had
trouble; even if I was killing the egg beater,
the egg beater was killing my babe... not
nice!

You apparently have to shoot at the top of
the thing, the 'television test patterns',
until you get an explosion. *Then*, you
have to shoot from underneath, up inside
of it.

Eventually it dies, and the Game Babe opens
the bottom door for you.

As I said, this was too tough for me, even
on easy, and I didn't find the rest of the
game very hard on medium...

It's a great game!

Yea. The test pattern on top and then I think you need to hit the red lights
inside on the vanes. What a nightmare. I'm playing Minerva at the same time.
Got any ideas for other good single player HL2 mods?
