Hi,

So what do you expect from it? Definitively a middle of the road between
World at War and Hearts of Iron II. I would say it can be an interesting
game, for whose who regrets the grand scale of WaW, but (as me) are bored of
the mammoth game of Paradox (and playing it in MP was an ever worser
experience, its a click fest).

I will buy it, there is not much strategic level WW2 games on the market to
say the truth, and the first opus, though rather rustic and simple, was not
too displeasant, so I expect some good hours of playing, even if not the
game of the year ( this will be Space empire V for me ...)

I've come to enjoy the economic, political , and research aspects of
Hearts of Iron 2 immensely. However, I abhor the combat model.
Ideally, I'd marry the economic, political and research potion of HOI2
with the combat model of Strategic Command 1.....Give me hexes
anytime...

As the local SC1 fanboy I've got high hopes for it - especially the
fact that it will be highly moddable - there are some strange things
going on surrounding the release - all related to copy protection - so
I'm still a bit on the fence about it.

Nonsense, game of the year will be Conquest of the Aegean

<distant muttering of Mr Giftzwerg>
... if it gets released this year

War-historical rule #31 : Developers dumb enough to give fixed release
dates should be made very aware of the dumbness of that move once that
deadline passes so they don't make that mistake ever again Smile

Now, you were going to type the name of the new game but made some
typing errors so it came out as bip-biip-biiiip.

Come on, you can tell us, nobody reads this obsolete ng anyway Smile

Is it true that the game will cover both Silesian wars in addition to
the Seven Years war?

Yup, and it's not recent experience Smile

But I know what you're hinting at so I'll tell you that CotA is a prime
example of the age old software project management adagium : "on time,
on budget, working. pick any two" - and in case you're doubting :
Arjuna picked on budget and working Smile
