My young Khajit, K'ithril, got lycanthropy the first time he ever met
a were. He was given the "Kill the werebeast" quest from the
Fighter's Guid at level 3. He went and killed the wereboar, getting
only scratched in the process, Recalled out of the dungeon and
fast-travelled back to the Fighter's Guild. Later he discovered that
he was no a wereboar, but it was too late to be cured by the Temple.
K'ithril doesn't have very high moral standards, so when he got the
summons from the Dark Brotherhood, he answered them. In travelling to
his destination to poison someone's wine decanter, during which he had
to travel recklessly, as he was given insufficient time to get to the
wine, then travel to his next destination going carefully, he was
dismayed to discover that he arrived in town as the full moon was
rising. Discovering that casting Lycanthropy gives him a few seconds
in human form, he decides to try to finish his mission, despite his
change of form.
However, the Guard doesn't like having a wereboar wandering around
town in the middle of the night, so K'ithril leaves 2-3 bodies in his
wake looking for the right house. When he finds it locked, he has to
kick the door in, as he can't lockpick the door with his claws. Funny
that, I would think having claws would be an advantage in picking
locks. This brings in some more of the Guard. By the time K'ithril
has managed to find the decanter and poison it, there are bodies
heaped all around the house. Thinking he has truly messed up this
mission, as he was supposed to do the deed sneakily, he reports in and
is surprised to be welcomed into the Dark Brotherhood with high praise
for accomplishing his mission by stealth. He got a good laugh out of
the whole business.
