I'm a night elf hunter who has been going it alone mostly. I thought I'd
try the Stormwind Stockade and when to the Stormwind innkeeper to get into a
queue to go in. Waited around and nobody else showed up. Is this a
situation where you have to form a group before you decide to do this type
of quest and then have them all show up at the site at the same time? I did
the deadmines and queued up and got a group right away (made up if a bunch
of mutual strangers, I assume) so I was wondering how this works.

Thanks.

Wow..... I've never heard of anyone getting a workable group using the
meeting stones. Smile

The Stockade is a rather less popular instance than the Deadmines, for
two reasons:

1) Deadmines is a well-designed dungeon with plenty of humor and a range
of different fights. Stockade is one room after another filled with
angry club-wielding prisoners.

2) Deadmines contains bosses who can drop a wide array of excellent blue
items that will really boost a character who is probably clad entirely
in greens when he goes there. Nothing good drops in the Stockade.

But in either case, I've never heard anyone describe the innkeeper /
meeting stone system as effective. Far better off just using the
LookingForGroup chat channel in the cities: "LFG Stockade! PST!". Get 5
people together, go in.

Cheers!

Sheesh. You know how much cloth you can get? Smile

OK, for the correct level it isn't popular, but....

As a 60 mage, i can do the 2/3 instance in a few minutes, just
skipping the right wing because of stuns. When done properly, it's just
a few stops with IAE. (Would frost be better?). Hall with three rooms.
Fourth room and room at end of hall (and perhaps the walker). Left
(right when coming out of room at end) two rooms, two rooms, middle and
two rooms, last two rooms. 6 stops to eat and drink. Though, kicking
each of those up one more room each time, would make it go faster, but
would not be as safe without a healer.

IIRC, 2/3 can be done in 15 minutes, and there will be quite a few
stacks of wool. The greens sell for a low price (20-30 silver), but
together may be a couple gold. So, for a mage, it may be boring, but
not a bad place for farming, It'll generate a few gold an hour, making
a small profit per hour, even after the repair costs.

I stopped because i kept going down the wrong wing, got stunned, and
died. Smile

Or whatever number channel is "looking for group". It won't be /4 for
everyone. For instance, Bovinis has "general" turned off, so trade is /1 and
looking for group is /3 for him.

Haha, yeah, I do actually, from personal experience. Smile

Stockade is great for a quick farm, since it's so close to the mailbox
and auction house.

Cheers!
