I started playing Stone Soup in the last week, and I'm really loving
it but I have finally starting getting far enough in the game where
religion matters. Anyway, I just reached the MT on a cl:8 Necromancer
(my first time on a magic user), and I really have no idea what god I
should go for. Kiku seems like it might be the obvious necro god, but
I'm not sure how much of what I'd get out of that would be redundant
with the skills I get from my starting book, so I was thinking about
taking one of the other two magic gods to expand my skill set.
Obviously, I haven't really been playing long enough to know what all
the gods do beyond their 'p'ray description, so...any suggestions? >> Stay informed about: --Stone Soup-- Best god for a necromancer? |

I'll go with Kiku then. My main concern was that my Necro magic
doesn't seem to affect undead/demons, so I was considering
diversifying. I've been getting around that so far by having an
entourage of my own undead follow me around, and running away why they
stall for me, so I guess I can continue that pretty effectively. >> Stay informed about: --Stone Soup-- Best god for a necromancer? |

To be certain, you will need to diversify. Fortunately, there are plenty
of ways to diversify in Crawl.
