There's no argument. It's not leeching when Jimi does it. Jimi
says so, and so does his cockpuppet Mike Hunt. How could they be wrong?
And remember kids - do as Jimi says, not as he does!

If you have DOS games you want to run then you can either use the Win95 VPC
or DOSBox.
When VPC came out I dug out all the O/S disks I had and built a host of
virtual machine files. DOS 6.22, DOS6.22 with Win 3.11, Win 95, Win 98,
Win ME, NT 3.51 workstation, Windows NT 4.0 server, Windows XP and Windows
server 2003.
At one stage I had some form of *NIX running as a guest under VPC, but when
I tried a couple of months ago I could get any of the various flavours to
survive the hardware detection phase.
I would like to have Debian or something similiar VPC so I can running bits
and bobs like DNSwalk.

DOSBox is nice, but I think the VPC setup might be easier to deal
with, since it's a pain getting all those old disks to load up and
all. I've often thought about finding an older PC in fairly decent
shape just so I can play some old DOS classics - X-Com (I/II),
Warcraft, the original Command & Conquer, Colonization, Master of
Orion, Master of Magic, the second Ultima trilogy (4-6), Aces of the
Pacific, Aces Over Europe, Red Baron, Detroit, and a lot of other
great games. I know X-Com and C&C have had WinXP versions created,
but not the rest. I still have all the floppies and CDs, just not a
machine that can run them that well.

DOSBox is easy. I have it set to run MoO, MoM, Col, and Civ 1. I was
expirementing with X-Com but can't remember what happened.

There's a WinXP version of X-Com on fileradar.net, I've been playing
it lately. I'll give DOSBox another go. Way too many good games are
lying in a box near my computer. I liked the old turn-based games,
RTS is nice but I wish it hadn't taken over the entire strategy genre.

I would envision the mmorpg having perhaps two playable races to begin
with. Say IG and Orks, maybe tau and eldar as well. In each case you
start out as a lowely rank (guardsman or ork trooper, etc.), and
eventually it would be possible to work yourself up through the ranks.
For IG, this would be standard military type ranks. However, there
would be "hero classes" (or some other flashy name) that you would be
able to attain later in the game to become a space marine, commisar,
and whatnot. There could be quite a compelling storyline created to
explain a young but veteren IG soldier being induced into the scout
ranks of some chapter and eventually becoming a full fledged space
marine, or a commissar or inquisitor, etc. etc. The game designers
would have to run rough shod over the established fluff in some
(perhaps many) areas to have it all make some kind of sense, but in
the end there is potential for quite an awesome game!

I'm sure they would seriously think about it for two or three seconds if
there was huge wads of cash to be made.

Has tried this with earnings and all works!!! Has come across it at one forum and has decided to try. Wandering as it is usual on different sorts to forums, I find this clause in which it is spoken that it is possible to make thousand dollars for couple of weeks at an investment only 6 $.
Further there was spoken, that it is necessary to translate on 1 WMZ on 6 purses of known payment system WebMoney. After transfer money, exclude from the list the very first number, and in the end of the list write the and throw on 200 various forums. Any dodges ? Well I have reflected and have thought, that I lose nothing except for 6 WMZ both has decided to try + And guess that!!! In four days at me the purse has started to replenish. I was in a shock!!! But at once has thought, that on it all and to end
In the first week I have made 18WMZ, further by the end of the second week already it is more 800 WMZ + to the middle of 3-rd week 6580WMZ +!!! A fourth week and I have already counted 15 000 WMZ and the sum grows very quickly. And this all only for the price in 6 WMZ!!! I was in very bad economic situation before have come across this clause!
I have not believed that it works yet I have not started to receive money + has bought all that is necessary to me + and it very opportunely, will agree?! + and now I shall tell to you as it works also the most important WHY +!
I to you guarantee, that if you in accuracy will observe below the listed instructions YOU WILL start TO RECEIVE much more money than you thought, not applying on it of special efforts. The offer: Прочтите it few times! Follow instructions and MONEY WILL start TO ACT in your purses. Will agree it SIMPLY!!! It LEGALLY. And your contribution makes only 6 WMZ + IMPORTANT: It not a deceit and it is not illegal, thus you risk nothing, but it works!!!
NOTICE: Follow instructions in ACCURACY and 50 000 WMZ and will be yours during from 20 till 60 days more. ALL THIS SUCCESSFULLY WORKS OWING TO HONESTY of PARTICIPANTS!
If you are interested, here the list of purses in system WebMoney on which it is necessary to send on 1 WMZ:------------------------------------
1 z160240779720
2 z174506043950
3 z199234983797
4 z401164413477
5 z921916987898
6 z151434944880
After transfer money, exclude from the list the FIRST number, and in the end of the list ADD the . Now it is necessary to place only the information at forums and to receive profit. Place this clause at not less than 200 forums. REMEMBER, than more you place that above there will be your income and this income will depend directly on you. >> Stay informed about: Squad Command on the DS / PSP |
