On runway, with engine running, the trees nearby are flickering. When I cut
the engine, the flickering stops. So I assume there is a relationship
between sound and display. I have AMD Athlon 64 3000+, Radeon X300SE 128MB
PCIE. Sound is RealTek AC'97 Audio. System info shows video card 254MB. If
sound is interfering with display, what is probable (or definite) solution?
I have tried many variation of display settings, and bilinear & trilinear
filtering (if that's relevant).

Have you tried turning sound sound quality down to medium in the simulator?

Also try turning anti-aliasing off.

I bought a new system and went with the RealTek on-board sound, but at the
weekend installed an Audigy 4, which I got for a good price - result 3-4 fps
extra, so it may be the cause.
