Just had the onboard sound go west on my MSI K7N2 Delta Platinum I should
really RMA the bugger but that would leave me offline for god knows how long
and the faff of reinstalling when the replacment turns out to be just
different enough to mess up the clean install I did last week. I fancy an
Audigy they seem cheap enough and have a very low cpu overhead trouble is
there are so many versions available anybody want to throw me a bone?

Audigy is last-generation tech and the drivers haven't been updated in
ages. You would be better off with the X-Fi line, although you won't
find them as cheap. NewEgg has an OEM version for $50 US.
