Sorting Equipment (FF-X) ?

I don't know if I am stupid or something but...

I cannot for the life of me remember how to automatically sort my
equipment list. I know that when I used to play the US version (which
sadly I no longer have) I had no problems sorting my equipment.

However in the Japanese version I absolutely cannot find a way. Only
the items, but not the equipment.

Does the Japanese version either not have the ability to auto sort
equipment or am I just too stupid to remember how to do it?
