Does Sony make any money off any non-Sony produced BluRay ..

Anyone know if Sony receives any licensing fees on BluRay movies sold,
like they do on PS3 games that are sold, by other publishers from
themselves?

I am curious, because if BluRay does take off and they don't, unless
they manage to sell a lot of PS3 games, people buying PS3s as mainly
BluRay players will end up bleeding Sony dry financially.

Yes.... They collect a general license fee that must be renewed
periodically. That fee is loosely based around product volume from my
understanding and not per-item royalty based. Sony is being bleed dry
financially by PS3 or haven't you heard?
