That employee was an artist working for SOE. I dont think we've even
seen ANYTHING from SOE for PS3. Besides, He wouldnt have access to
other companies, just his own. So for you to make that statement means
nothing.

While the Sony press conference was dull as far as building excitement
goes, i think sony came out pretty even. it wasnt bad, it wasnt good,
but at least it was real. Real compared to most of last year's showing.

Price and the HDMI gone missing are the ONLY two things that people
have a right to be pissed off about. But at the end of the day, if you
dont want to pay the money, DONT BUY THE SYSTEM. STOP WHINING AND DONT
BUY IT. Its not like your ps2 is going to be taken away the second PS3
comes out. If you think sony is shooting themselves in the foot, fine.
You'll either get over it and buy one anyways, or you wont and you'll
buy something else. I'm just tired of hearing people cry about their
wallets getting raped. No one cares. DONT BUY IT THEN!! No one is
forcing you to buy a PS3. Leave it on the shelf for someone else who
wants one.

"its going to be expensive" you cant even deny knowing that, because it

Brenden, the Sony press conference started like 45 minutes late. There
was multiple instances of "trust us", with Sony making an excuse that
the Gran Turismo team just finished up Touring Trophy, and they SHOULD
have the next Gran Turismo done in a reasonable time. Last year they
showed what was supposed to be the next Gran Turismo, then they
backtrack from that this time, by showing GT4. Motorstorm and Warzone
were not shown. They reminded people of their past multiple times, and
particularly saying how much was in production now for the PS2. Then
they drop the bombshell of the price. The gyroing of the controller,
which was likely in the works for a few months at least (final form
decided recently) was dropped at the last minute, and it comes off as
copycatting Nintendo.

Oh they hit the bullet points that a presentation should. But not
matching the expectations they set up. All and all a disappointment.

We all know Sony said it was going to be expensive but we didn't
actually believe they'd be stupid enough to price themselves out of the
market like they did.

Have you watched a golf tournament lately? Golf claps are much louder than
what Sony was getting.

I don't think its the $600 price itself that did the damage, its that what
they showed as far as games doesn't justify spending $600. If they had
showed an impressive lineup of games, then maybe $600 wouldn't be tough to
swallow.

I think customers have every right to complain. I think people were
expecting the PS3 to be expensive, but with the graphics that were shown
from last year.

At this point right now, the price and technology we see doesn't match, they
don't even have a Live type service in place like Microsoft does.

You've got blinkers on dude. There have been good reports but they have
come out of this incredibly badly for many reasons. Price, comparisons
to other consoles etc. There is a lot of support for all three consoles
at the moment and Sony is the only manufacturer actually pissing people off.

If you're happy that Sony showed something 'real' five months before
launch on crashing dev kits then good on you. I'm not opimistic enough
for that.
