In addition to the announced and unannounced events for Sony
Playstation Gamers Day, there has been notice of an update to Super
StardustHD to have split-screen, new Motorstorm 2 screen shots
(incredible!), and news that a demo of Resistance 2 will be there. Kaz
will be speaking at the news conference. It isn't clear at this point
if the US PSN will have two updates during the week, the same as the
European PSN.

Two PSN updates next week
Sony will be offering you two PSN updates next week as a treat while
its Gamers Day is in full flow.
The updates will go live on Tuesday and Thursday, according to the
community team leader Lestrade on the PlayStation Europe forums.
Among the highlights are demos for Haze, Condemned 2, Bourne
Conspiracy and Race Driver: GRID. Full games Blast Factor Advanced,
High Velocity Bowling and Street Skater (PSP, PS3) will also be on
offer, as well as extra content for Blast Factor, High Velocity
Bowling, Army of Two and Guitar Hero III.
We're not normally interested in the trailers, but these will probably
be talked about by Sony next week. So, there's footage of Siren Blood
Curse, Buzz! Quiz TV, Secret Agent Clank, echochrome Apple, Play
Compilation, and the Sony Press Conference itself.

Maybe they will say something about Siren: New Translation. The demo
on the Japan store is in English, so the game isn't like it needs
translation work. Man, the graphics in that are sick and the gameplay
works well, too. Also, Valkyria has released in Japan, so maybe there
will be news about that coming over, as well. >> Stay informed about: Sony Playstation Gamers Day on Tuesday 6 May 2008 |

Okay... so this post says absolutely nothing about the Xbox 360. It
doesn't even imply anything negative about it.

Exactly what qualifies this generation as an RPG? JRPGs, which are
the norm, are very scarce it seems. You have Enchanted Arms. There
was also Trusty Bell. These are cross-platform ones. On the PS3,
there is Folklore (White Knight, which looks great, appears to be
NOWHERE). The 360 has Blue Dragon and also Lost Odyssey. That is
about it. You otherwise have things like Mass Effect and Oblivion
which aren't your normal RPGs. There is also Fallout 3.
So, a bigger question, period is: What has happened to traditional
console RPGs? They are fewer and far less frequent. And in a "this
can't be right", the 360 seems to have more of them. Maybe Final
Fantasy can turn it around. But, that is how far off?

Not only that, but it seems to be European only. The Condemned 2 demo
has been available on PSN in the states for some time now. I DL'd it
while I was on drugs last week. I still haven't had a chance to play
it.
I am looking forward to Haze though.
