I had this last year-- fires barely flicker, 'magic ' hangs in the air
too long ...--and here it is again:-) I know there was a fix, but I
can't remember what it was. Help, please?

Saddest cases? Hmm.

The charm of the Elder Scrolls series is that you can play it like a flight
sim. Pop in the DVD, do a quest or three, develop the char a little, then
exit. You can do this for years without fear of finishing the game too early
or forgetting the subtle details of the storyline.

Daggerfall with its random quests and dungeons was even better than
Morrowind or Oblivion in this respect.

Perhaps so, but in Mr Pratchett's case not so. He used the patch himself
"last year", which suggests 400 hours in 12 months (8 hours a week) even
after his first patch. This man is a hardcore user.

And meanwhile, here we are, wiggling our thumbs, patiently waiting for the

Worked perfectly for me.

Bug only appears after 400+ hours of gameplay; really only needed for the
saddest cases of Oblivion addiction.

Smile It's certainly my current game of choice, bur I suspect the time
has got more to do with the machine being left on!

I've had to patch my game twice so far, and I have been through Knights of
the Nine and Shivering Islands since then. I've been wondering when I will
run into the slow fire / spell / door effect for the third time.

It doesn't take 400 hours of play time to have this problem show up. BTW - I
use the patch OBSAF.exe to fix the slow fire / spell /door problem on my
machine. Works good - I recommend it.

Is there any patches for the people using the Xbox 360 version? I
build up my character (a great one too) and now I had to create a new
one so I can still play Oblivion.
