I am playing the single player campaign in Neverwinter Nights. No
cheats, latest patch (version 1.20). I have SoU and HoU, but have not
yet installed them.
When I try to go from chapter 1 to the ritual, and (I guess) chapter 2,
I get this message:
"Invalid Character - Player login refused - Character has invalid skill
points". I then get sent to a screen where I can chosse some 1. level
cahracters....
How do I fix this?
Please help, as I don't want to lose my character now...

I don't know what your problem is but I thought the latest patch was 1.68.

Yeah, typo. Patch is 1.68. Problem persists, though.

Just in case someone has the same problem.
What I did was this:
Install SoU
Install HoU
Update to latest patch
This fixed the problems, and gave me an overall more stable game.
I have a suspicion it was the reapplying of the patch that did it.
Only reason I installed the expansions was to play something else for a
while before returning to the main quest all over again.

Hm. ounds good, since I enjoy tje official campaing in Neverwinter
Nights. I also played NWN 2, but wanted to try the first game.
