Yup. The Phili. Experiment, various big cats roaming the planet, strange
tunnels, pyramid measurements. Bible codes. I lap them all up and cover the
margins with scathing comments. Great fun.
..
To some extent, Thor Heyerdahl adn the Tiki?
..
No! That was based on scientific reasoning. Got/had both the books.
The only things I tend to avoid is anything with 'New Age' in the blurb or
first paragraph. They are just annoying.
Every other theory is grist to the mill. There are some serious cuckoos out
there.

Just so. I mean, one doesn;t mind a harmless loony trying to convince you
that giant squids are really mobile cameras left on earth to monitor our
development, but as soon as said loony develops a sweet, pitying smile and
talks about how your chakra has been screwed in upside-down and it's about
time you washed and combed your Feng Shui I feel a strong urge to...
But there are laws against it. 8(
..
I often wonder about that giant squid business. It reflect badly on the
aliens putting their cameras in a creature happiest in the deep ocean. Did
they think intell life would stay under water? Hmmm. In that case... perhaps
they had a dinosaur set up? And where are the cameras? Never seen a report
of a giant squid being washed up complete with camera and broadcasting
equipment, large antennae aimed towards the Dog Star or somewhere. But
mention this and you are shot down in flames... Telepathy. The squids
transmit their information telepathically...
What???
Stymied, because you cannot prove that they do not. Not really.
..
Exit loony looking triumphant leaving you gnashing your fangs in
frustration.
..
